Uconnect odd frequency

    Hello there

    I am not so sure if posting in English is allowed on this forum, but I like to learn from those folks who imported Chrysler products from USA. My Uconnect tunes into odd number frequency as in 98.1 98.3 98.5 I can't get it to tune in even numbers like 98.2 98.4 My question: Is there a way to get the radio tune into even frequency? is the setting in ECU itself or is it hard coded into the radio itself?

    Any help will be appreciated

    As I see, your Uconnect is an original US-version, they use only the uneven frequenzies over there. Most of the regional settings are coded to the country code, which is set in Body Control Module (BCM). In this case, changing the country code will help. But, there are also radios with localised firmware, or even both. I know, there is a company Customtronix from Sweden, they are specialized in converting Uconnect and other OEM radios from US to other countrys. This might be the people, you should talk to. I´m pretty sure, Customtronix can help you.

    Thank you Toy for your prompt reply, sure thing the car was imported from USA hence the radio odd frequencies. To your point, I wonder if changing the country code in BCM will do the trick. I have access to both AlfaOBD software plus OBDLink MX+ when connected I see two settings, one is for destination country and the other is country code.

    I will contact Customtronix and see if they can do the conversion without actually shipping the radio to them.

    Customtronix does most conversions by preparing a modified firmware for the UConnect. Normally they will ask you for the VIN, that’s all. When you get the new firmware, you may be able to install it by USB-Sticks. All of unofficial imported Chrysler cars here are „Europeanized“ on this way.
