SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further
investigation the technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) has been set:
• P1404 - EGR Close Position Performance.
• P0456 - EVAP System Small Leak.
In addition, the customer may notice one or more of the following conditions:
• Abrupt gear engagement when transitioning from Park to Drive/Reverse gear state in Power
Takeoff (PTO) Mode.
• Vehicle hesitation or surge at low vehicle speeds.
• Engine hesitation when turning steering wheel to end stop.
• Powertrain bump or hesitation around 16-24 kph (10-15 mph) vehicle speed. May be reported
as rough or harsh transmission shifting in the same vehicle speed range.
• Transmission Control Module (TCM)
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further
investigation the technician may find one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).
• U0293-00 - Lost Communication With Hybrid Control Module.
• P0732-00 - Gear 2 Shift Incorrect Ratio.
• P061B-00 - Internal Control Module Torque Calculation Performance.
Other software enhancement::
• 2–1 downshift improvement.
• Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM)
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may experience a false Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination related to PHEV battery:
• U0111 - Lost Communication With Hybrid Battery Pack Sensor Module.
• P0EDD-00 - Hybrid/EV Battery Pack B Deterioration.
• P0CA7-00 - Hybrid/EV Battery Discharging Current High.
• P1A0C-00 - Battery Energy Control Module System Voltage Low.
This software enhancement will improve PHEV battery performance and diagnostics.
• Integrated Dual Charging Module (IDCM)
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further
investigation the technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) have been set:
• P0D27-00 - Battery Charger 1 Input Voltage Too Low.
Customer may also experience the following:
• Vehicle would not charge and the charge station circuit breaker in the house/recepticle trips
when its plugged into the vehicle.
• Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) und Auxiliary Hybrid Control Processor (AHCP)
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon furtherinvestigation the technician may find one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).
• P061B-00 - Internal Control Module Torque Calculation Performance.
NOTE: P061B-00 DTC may set after driving on snow/ice in 2WD and Traction Control System(TCS) turned off.
• P06A3-00 - Sensor Reference Voltage 9D9 Circuit/Open.
• P0697-00 - Sensor Reference Voltage 3 Circuit.
• Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC)
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may comment on the following:
• Vehicle doesn’t switch to EV mode.
• Front passenger seat belt chime may still ding approximately 20 seconds after the belt has
been fastened.
• Battery was dead after leaving the vehicle overnight.
• Battery bar gauge graphics indicates an empty charge while showing full charge % and full
range.
